Malak is currently the Vice Dean, Deanship of Student Affairs at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Jordan. She received her BSc and MSc degrees in computer science with EXCELLENT GPAs from JUST. She received her PhD in Computing and Information Sciences – Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2018. As a faculty member in the Computer Science department at JUST, she has taught 20 bachelor’s and master’s degree courses for all levels, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, C++, Java, object-oriented, data structures and algorithms, and others. She has supervised 11 master’s students’ theses and 12 graduation projects. Her research interests center around Machine Learning, Sentiment Analysis, Programming Languages, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing, Algorithms, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. Malak published more than 35 papers in reputable academic journals, conferences, and workshops. Malak also served as a Vice director, Deputy Head of the Information Technology & Communications Center at JUST from 2019-2020. She coached several programming teams at JUST to give them the appropriate guidance and direction in every aspect of their education.
