Tpoic: Herd behavior, private information and crashes in financial markets
Presenter: Yasaman Kamyab Hessary
"We present an Agent Based Computational Economics model to examine the parameters describing agent’s behavioral rules in shaping herds in financial markets. Herd is an emergent property of financial markets, hens it is difficult to explain or reproduce it using classical economic approaches. We are interested in herding because we believe it can lead to creation of speculative bubbles which would inevitably make the market unstable and ready for major crashes."
